Welcome
La Vauterie is an 18th century fully renovated farmhouse in the Calvados region of Normandy, about 30 minutes south-west of Caen and 40 minutes from the Normandy D-Day beaches and centrally located for discovering the delights and attractions of Lower Normandy. It is a home rather than a business - comfortable, relaxed and peaceful. While we don't have the full range of amenities that a hotel or more commercial B&B would have, we do have a friendly atmosphere and well-equipped and pretty bedrooms. There is also internet access via WiFi which reaches about 50 per cent of the house despite the very thick stone walls. We also have wonderful natural environment - fourteen acres of meadow, valley with ponds, woods and riverside, with plenty of wildlife - which we hope you will have time to explore.

We regret we cannot take pets as we have livestock of all sorts in various parts of the property.
